    The role of the clerk is to support the Councillors in their decision making processes with appropriate information to ensure the decisions taken are lawful.  The clerk is the Proper Officer of the Council and is the correct route for all correspondence.  The clerk is also the Responsible Financial Officer, and produces the budget and year end accounts, and ensures compliance with all relevant legislation.
