The Parish Council has sought clarification from Cambridgeshire County Council about the road sign informing residents that Haverhill Rd will be closed from 1 Oct to 22 Dec 2023.
Traffic Road Orders have to cover all eventualities. In this instance, UK Power Networks has anticipated that works will be carried out at some point between 1 Oct and 22 Dec. This is not the same as the road being closed for that entire period. We appreciate that this is not particularly helpful for residents looking to plan their travel routes but this is the only information currently available.
UKPN has applied for several, consecutive/overlapping Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders while it puts in new infrastructure to bolster local grid capacity.
