Despite significant upgrades to our electrical installation at the Pavilion and all the electrical work at the MUGA itself, switching on the gate and lights is continuing to cause the fuse to trigger and so power cannot, as yet, be sustained.
The Council is in daily contact with the relevant contractors and we hope this last niggling issue can be resolved soon. Clearly it is work for professionals but it is nevertheless frustrating not to have opened last week.
The booking system “Booker” and Tennis Club website have been updated to prevent booking this coming week whilst efforts continue to resolve the issue. As soon as it is fixed we will immediately open the courts and let everyone know via Facebook and this website.
Given the considerable investment and recent vandalism of the electronic speeding sign on Haverhill road we have decided not to just leave the gates open. We appreciate your patience in the meantime.
