On 8th Feb 2022, SCDC’s Planning Committee approved Rangeford’s reserved matters application for a retirement care village and countryside park in Stapleford greenbelt. Although the principle of development had been previously established on appeal by the Planning Inspector, various reserved matters were still to be resolved. Stapleford Parish Council mounted multiple well-founded objections, notably to the design of the development and lack of parking provision. We are extremely disappointed that the Planning Committee chose to overlook these concerns and voted unanimously to approve the application. It’s likely that building work will start imminently.
